Prospeer, an AI-driven hiring platform based in India, aims to revolutionize the hiring landscape. I had the opportunity to work on this project to bring the product from the founder's vision to reality with all its glory.
As the lead product designer for this project, I collaborated closely with Shantanu Kumar, the brand designer, and Rishabh Chillar, the CEO and founder of Prospeer.
Our goal was to create an AI-driven hiring platform that effortlessly connects candidates and hiring managers, helping them find their ideal match. We aimed to enhance user engagement and encourage active participation. Through the implementation of a streamlined framework for AI-driven interviews, to optimize time efficiency for both candidates and hiring managers.
The initial product had only a handful of basic features, and the user experience left room for improvement.
We embarked on developing multiple new features within a tight timeframe.
The design lacked scalability due to the absence of a design system.
The UI design was rather outdated, possibly hindering the creation of more impactful first impressions.
Our goals?
Strengthening the Value Proposition of Prospeer
With this revamped product design, our focus was on showcasing the core offerings that extend beyond job hunting and candidate recruitment. We envisioned a platform where candidates could seamlessly undergo AI interviews, prepare for jobs effortlessly, and generate candidate reports to simplify the hiring process.
Making Data-Driven Hiring Decisions
Collaborating with the engineering team, we aimed to construct a recommendation system. This system automatically presents managers and candidates with the most relevant findings based on their specific requirements and candidate reports.
Delivering a Delightful, Consistent Consumer Experience
Our commitment to a proper design system was driven by the goal of reducing technical debt and providing our users with a superior and consistent experience. We believe in creating a platform that not only meets but exceeds user expectations.

Competitive analysis
In the early stages of our UI/UX design process, we conducted a focused competitive analysis of leading hiring platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukari, Contra and many more.
Interviews
As Rishabh Chillar (Founder), was an alumnus of Amity University, we established direct contact with the placement cell. This enabled us to gather crucial data and understand the pain points of both students and hiring managers. Consequently, we were able to delve into their needs and brainstorm effective solutions.
Key Insights
Post-synthesis, we gained invaluable insights into the priorities of both users and businesses. These revelations were derived from a combination of market research findings and direct interactions with the placement cell. It's not just data; it's the human touch that brings it to life.
User Onboarding (Candidates and Hiring Managers)
Identified variations in onboarding processes for candidates and hiring managers, ranging from streamlined experiences to those lacking personalization.
Job Search Experience (Candidates)
Observed differences in search functionality for candidates, from intuitive designs to platforms with challenges in visual hierarchy.
Application Process (Candidates)
Noted variations in the application journey for candidates, including user-friendly processes, cumbersome steps, and aspects lacking engagement.
Hiring Manager Interaction (Hiring Managers)
Assessed the ease and effectiveness of hiring manager interactions, noting disparities in platform functionalities for posting jobs and managing candidate interactions.
How do we achieve our goals?
User flows
We meticulously mapped out the user flows for both hiring managers and candidates, covering all the features of the application.
Sketches
Engaging in a creative exploration, I produced multiple sketches to swiftly visualize ideas. At this stage, my focus is on divergence, allowing creativity to flow freely. Later, we converge on the most promising concepts. Here are some initial sketches of the application, capturing the essence of our imaginative journey.
Given the scale of this project, we tackled it feature by feature, releasing the app in phases. The revamped design at Prospeer resulted in a remarkable reduction in hiring time by up to 50%, making the entire process two times faster. It's not just an upgrade; it's a transformative leap in efficiency.
